RTD2 pulls validated output data from modeling and simulation tools and translates it into specific bit patterns described by system interface control documents in support of system design testing, hardware in the loop testing, field test hardware control, and integration testing.

Users have reduced cost and risk by using RTD2 to test onboard systems minimizing the number of field tests and costs over using specific signal generation hardware [ex. Instead of using a GPS simulator – emulate the GPS messages to make all the secondary users of the data think you are “flying, driving, or diving”

As Easy as 1, 2, 3


1. Create or download a simulation in STK – Land, Air, Sea, and Space platforms
2. Select platform to “emulate”, message output type and clock input source (can use IRIG or CPU clock), RTD2 generates the binary messages including required “handshaking” via RTD2 user interface (messages are saved and loaded)
3. Click “START”-RTD2 sends messages and updates the 3D display during the test
